He looks so at peace there... I'd probably look the same if I'd have no problems on my mind and were just capable of lying down on a bed of grass to ponder about the worlds mysteries or better jet - to think of nothing at all ^^
But to think of nothing in exageration, is probably not a good idea.
I like the sense of flow in this image, and I'm glad you try different things.
To vary is good for the spirit!

But, this is done in photoshop.. I took the photo and applied an oil painting effect.
One for the grass... and a different one on the person.. then I applied color filters..

If I could draw like this, I would definitely not be wasting my time on photos... I would be drawing instead..
