Every now and then or at least for now, twice a week, I will be posting up a Journal featuring an exceptional photo and the author's story of how he/she captured that particular moment. Many times, we come across amazing photos on deviantART and wonder what the story was behind that capture... who was involved, where it was taken, how it came to happen, and so forth. I thought it would be interesting to find out of a few of my own favorites, so I contacted a few photographers asking them for a quick summary of their stories. This week's feature is one of *
iNeedChemicalX's incredible shots. Check it out.
Take me to the Northern LightsThe story begins on a summer's day, one year ago, with me and my he. The photograph happened spontaneously - a friend who was with us was playing with the camera, "pointing" it at us. She took plenty of pictures, which I flicked through to find this one. I felt like turning the day into night - the city seemed a bit faded, but the lights in the dark would always make it beautiful. As for the technical part, it involves a Canon 7D with 28-135mm lens and Photoshop CS3 for the post-processing, plus some filmy textures of my own.
If you have an amazing photo you's like to know more about, hear the story of how it was shot, please recommend it below in the comments and I'll contact the photographer involved. Or, if you have a particular piece of your own gallery that you'd like me to feature and you think it has a great story behind it, please
send me a note first with the thumbnail of the photo and if I select it, I'll contact you asking for a quick write-up on the story behind it. Thanks.
thank you for letting me be a part of it
