Every now and then or at least for now, twice a week, I will be posting up a Journal featuring an exceptional photo and the author's story of how he/she captured that particular moment.

Many times, we come across amazing photos on deviantART and wonder what the story was behind that capture... who was involved, where it was taken, how it came to happen, and so forth. I thought it would be interesting to find out of a few of my own favorites, so I contacted a few photographers asking them for a quick summary of their stories.

Eclipse Of My heart by I-Heart-Photo

Okay, how to start? The shot was taken after I finished school and my parents gave me my first camera as a present. It was a Sony Cybershot, which had a really good macro mode. Around the same time, I had my first real girlfriend and it was the first time I experienced some sort of real love from, and to, a woman. I always try to express my emotions and feelings through my photographs and that's what I also tried in this photograph.

So one day I just went outside and tried to take some eye macro photos 'cause I got inspired by some work I had seen on the internet. Since my camera was very good at macro, I gave it a shot. Basically everything I used was the camera and a heart-shaped giant lollipop my girlfriend gave me as a present. I was holding the lollipop towards the sun and looking at it as it eclipsed the sun with its shape. With my other hand I was holding the camera very close to my eye and took some shots. I took about 100 shots but only one photo stood out for me and that's the picture I uploaded: "Eclipse of My Heart"
